REF Hawkeye H-200

The REF Hawkeye H-200 was created as the successor to the original Gallant H-90 after the SDF-3's arrival in the Rifts Earth Sol system. After several encounters with forces on Rifts Earth, the REF decided to start by upgrading it's hand-held weaponry.

After several months of development, combined with refinement of designs recovered from the Invid and the Robotech Masters during the Sentinels' war, the Hawkeye H-200 was born. For cross-training purposes, the REF kept the overall design and maintenance of the weapon as close to the H-90 as possible. With the aid of the floating island state of Tritonia, the REF was able to begin mass production during the construction of the New Macross Island facilities, and the weapon was first issued to REF units in 101 P.A.

With a more efficient power system, the Hawkeye H-200 was a marked improvement over the Gallant H-90 in combat situations. The use of the Hawkeye H-200 allowed the REF operatives to stand on more even ground with other troops on Rifts Earth.
